When did you last review the range of products you offer to your customers? We get very set in our ways, and think that, as the current products are selling well, the best way to achieve growth is to sell them to more customers.


Winning more customers is, of course a very effective and important way to build our businesses. But it isn’t the only way. Research has shown that it is 6 times easier to sell a new product to an existing customer than it is to sell an existing product to a new customer.


We all need new customers, but there are sometimes easier ways to increase our sales. Look at all the estate agents who also offer mortgages and insurance.


What else could your customers buy from you? Do your products get used alongside something else? What else do people buy when they buy your products?


Remember, your existing customers trust you and like to buy from you. It stands to reason they would like to buy more.
